WesWinds, the Wesleyan University Wind Ensemble 2000 - present
Founded ensemble with Angel Gil-Ordonez to foster music making at Wesleyan and in the Middletown community. Recruit members, select program, commission new works and perform biannually.
Selected concert themes:
Big Band Circus (Spring 2005): a program of circus themed repertoire for wind ensemble presented in collaboration with the Middletown Symphonic Band and the Oddfellows Playhouse Traveling Circus.
WesWinds Goes to the Movies (Fall 2006): a program of movie scores and works used in movies.
WesWinds Plays Tunes for ‘Toons (Spring 2007): A program of works used in cartoons and featuring music Raymond Scott adapted for wind ensemble by Peter Hadley.
